You've seen the wrap-around porch, so now it's time to step inside for an indoor tour of Brandywine View Antiques. Our huge Fall Fling is coming up on September 11th & 12th. This will give you just a small taste of the fabulous antiques that you can find here.
There are four rooms on the first floor, so this might take a while...
First, let's walk through the country kitchen.
Copper, cupboards, candles, country primitive...everything you need to make your home look like it stepped off the pages of Country Living magazine.
Candles? Did I say candles? How about the best candles ever created since the invention of fire!? These candles burn for 155 hours and smell like heaven (or pumpkin pie or evergreen or lemon custard). They are available exclusively at Brandywine View and are cheaper than Yankee Candles, smell better and last longer. AND - we will ship them. (Even overseas to our fans in Germany. Hallo, to our German friends!)
And now we move to the room next door: the General Store. Yes, it looks just like those old-timey, hometown stores that you see in old movies.
There's a bathroom on the second floor, but if you really can't wait...
Actually, Baltimore Magazine mentioned our plethora of potties in the March 2010 issue!
This oak pedestal table is the ideal size for your breakfast nook, game room, or playroom:
That cobbler's bench would make a perfect coffee table. Forget about Pottery Barn! Buy something that your neighbor's won't have.
We move over to the other side of the store, and enter the "period room" where you can find Tall dressers, regal cupboards and drop-leap tables.
That corner cupboard would look perfect in your dining room, wouldn't it?
In this showcase filled with silver, you are sure to find that perfect birthday, anniversary or housewarming gift. Be good in this room...the horse is always watching!
One room over is the library. Well, today it's the library but tomorrow it could be the boudoir or the cottage or the victorian parlor. This room is schizophrenic!
In the next post, we'll take a walk up the grand staircase and check out the second floor. Stay tuned!
